Kidnappers Release Schlumberger Employees in Nigeria

PARIS, June 23, 2007 – Schlumberger announced today that the four employees kidnapped in Port Harcourt, Nigeria on June 1, 2007, were released at 20:00 GMT on June 23rd after 22 days in captivity.
James Thorburn, Jan van de Mortel, Salman Ahmad and Massoud Ahmadi are reported unharmed and in reasonable health after their ordeal. Schlumberger wishes to express thanks to the Nigerian authorities and to everyone else for the professionalism, commitment and compassion that have been shown.
Schlumberger requests with respect that James, Jan, Salman and Massoud be given the time and privacy to become reunited with their families.
